Hellooo again, I'm Emily!
I'm a wedding & elopement photographer based in Maryland who loves to celebrate life's big and little joys. I'll hold your dress, wipe your tears, and get grandma out on the dance floor, all while making beautiful images that document your big day.
So here's the story...
My whole childhood, I wanted to be "an artist." Over the years the forms of art I chose to pursue were ever-changing, but creativity has always been at the core of my being. As I got older, I dreamed of a flexible schedule that allowed me to travel, meet new people, and experience life to the fullest. I took a beginner photography class in highschool, but it was almost five years later that I picked up a camera of my own. Suddenly my passions for art, creativity, nostalgia, love, and entrepreneurship allllllllllll came together and I realized THIS was what I had been waiting for- and I'll never look back! Fast forward another few years and it's 2020- we all faced hardship in so many different ways. For me, this was the year my grandpa passed. Although I'd been practicing photography as a hobby for several years at this point, this is when the value of having memories in the form of physical photos realllllly set in. That's the year Rose Trade Co was born. I want you to have the opportunity to re-live your irreplaceable memories with your loved ones too, even after they're gone. And I want to celebrate life BIG cuz we've only got one.
Okay, so I'm a photographer, but what else?
- I love to be outdoors- be it hiking a new trail, backpacking in a National Park, camping on the beach, kayaking down the river, or picnicking by a lake.
- I make myself an iced latte every day. It's a simple thing, but it brings me so much joy!
- Everywhere I travel, I visit a local thrift store & coffee shop.
- If you're into the enneagram, I'm a 9w1 (what are you?!)
- I'm pretty sure I could eat tacos every day and never get tired of them.
- I love to travel and explore all of the hidden gems our country has to offer (and also the not so hidden ones lol). I've been to over 30 states and 15 National Parks, and try to hit at least one new one each year!
